Joe Horak, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist, family business consultant and leadership coach. He is the former director of the Family Owned Business Institute at Grand Valley State University. Joe has given professional presentations on three continents. He has numerous peer-reviewed and other publications on topics related to psychotherapy and family business. Joe was appointed by two Michigan Governors, to serve on both the Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing Boards. He is a former Chair of the AAMFT Ethics Committee. He currently holds an appointment as an Honorary Teaching Fellow in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Lancaster University’s Management School in the U.K. Joe a founding member and also on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Psychology and Counseling.
